A.My approach is pretty simple: I want you to feel comfortable and be yourself. That way, the photos we take together will be genuine and authentic. I take pride in capturing those real moments, whether they're funny or intimate or joyful or just plain silly. Together we'll create an experience that's truly memorable for you - one that conveys you at your best in your own life.
How long have you been a photographer?
A.I've been photographing professionally since September 2012 :)
Do you help with the planning process?
A.Of course! That's my favorite part! Whether it's planning your next family trip, figuring out where the best places to take senior pics, or helping you plan your big day, I'm here to help. I'm newly married, so I understand the stress! I'll help with the wedding timeline, questions about photography, lighting, etc. The day of, I'll be your personal hype man/dress floofer/hair adjuster/person to stop you from running the opposite way out the door (;
What type of sessions do you photograph?
A.I love photographing anything that involves people. I'll photograph your wedding, senior pictures, and branding headshots! I think I find the biggest joy in photographing families and being able to act goofy with the kids.
Second favorite would be couples. Life rushes by so quickly, and I find it incredibly rewarding to be the one reminding couples to slow down, forget the chaos for a little bit, and simply enjoy this time together.

How long does it take to receive our images?
A.For family and couples sessions, it’s typically 1-2 weeks.
For weddings, it’s 6-8 weeks. (8-10 weeks during busy season!)
Where do you photograph?
A.Typically, I shoot sessions outdoors, in my clients' homes, or at your venue. For outdoor sessions, I'm happy to provide location suggestions within the Dayton, OH area. You'll know beforehand if we need to add travel costs.
How can I help our session go smooth?
A.The BEST thing you can do is to let go and enjoy! I know it’s hard not to be stressed before your session, but the more relaxed you are, the better your pictures will turn out.
I know that sounds like a no-brainer, but sometimes the stress of taking pictures can get in the way of having fun with it. So just relax. Wear comfortable clothing that feels like you. If you have kids, don't stress if they lose their minds during our time together—just roll with it!
Can I keep the images from my session private?
A.Of course! I totally respect you not wanting to show the world. I can secure your gallery with a password just for you, so you can be sure no one will see them without your permission.
Are my images included in the session fee?
A.Yes! All of our images are included in your session fee. That means you don't need to purchase additional images or edited files. Everything is already included for you!
What if the weather is bad?
A.I always tell my clients that if you're down I'm down! I don't mind getting a little wet. Embracing the weather could be fun! Unless its crazy, then let's reschedule or postpone.
OK! We're ready to book! What's next?
A.Woohoo! This is gonna be fun! First things first, send me a message here, and we'll get started putting a plan together. After that, you'll be able to sign your contract and submit your session payment online. Payment of 50% is due upon booking to reserve your date, and the remainder is due 1 week prior to the event. Other payment plans are available as well, just ask!
I also ask new clients to fill out a short questionnaire, which helps me get to know you better and understand what you're hoping for out of your photos.
Do you travel?
A.Of course! That's my favorite part! Plus I always come back feeling so inspired <3
Do you have an estimated cost calculator for traveling?
A.I've got a standard travel fee that includes roundtrip airfare, car rental, hotel stay, and a food stipend. The fee is subject to change depending on location
Do you travel for all types of sessions?
A.Absolutely! I'll travel for any type of session within reason. If you have a specific location in mind, let me know and I can work with you to make sure we can get the best photos possible at that location.
Tip: If you want to save on travel fees, try to find other families/mamas in your circle, or in your city, that may be interested in a session as well, and you can split the travel fees to save money!
